Can't Get Enough

This is my new favorite song. Apparently. I can't get enough of it :) Amber and I heard it last night on Drop Dead Diva, which is apparently my new favorite show which I also can't get enough of.
I'm supposed to be writing a 4 page paper right now....sigh.

Half of My Heart Cover

I love this :) :) Ignore the weirdo in the background. In fact you can just listen if you want. But sometimes I like to watch...like around 1:30..that part.

Talent Show

So the Talent Show went pretty well. Erica and I practiced and practiced and we were really nervous, but it turned out good. We had lots of technical difficulties with the music, and it didn't play through the whole song. But the part that we sang was awesome! We also played charades and it was really fun :) I love Erica's ward! All the girls are so sweet and close to each other. They are all comfortable around each other, and they were even comfortable around me too.

So it was really fun and I love the girls and the leaders and charades and the song and Erica! <3

Jump Then Fall/Love Story

I absolutely love this medley! And my cousin, Erica, and I are most likely gonna sing it for a talent show in her ward. Which will be exciting..and new. I haven't sung in front of people for a long time, especially just singing with one other person. But I think it is gonna be really fun!

Music Makes the Heart Happy

Thank you for the music, the songs I'm singing
Thanks for all the joy they're bringing
Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty
What would life be?
Without a song or a dance what are we?
So I say thank you for the music
For giving it to me

"Thank you for the Music" ABBA

You know those songs?

The ones that make you sing and dance at the store, even though people are watching?

The ones that you blast on the radio?

The ones that you have memorized, word for word?

The ones that you play while you clean?

The ones that make your heart pump?

The ones that make your whole body happy?

The ones that make your heart sing?

I call them "beltin' out songs". And here are some of my favorite ones. :D

Don't Stop Believing-Journey
Somebody to Love-Queen
My Girl-The Temptations
It's Ain't Me, Babe-Johny Cash
Accidentally in Love-Counting Crows
Ever Ever After-Carrie Underwood
Bleeding Love-Leona Lewis
Won't Say I'm in Love-Disney's Hercules
Walk like a Man-Four Seasons
Fallin' for You-Colbie Caillat
Help!-The Beatles
You Belong with Me-Taylor Swift
I Can't Help Myself-The Four Tops
Life is a Highway-Rascal Flatts
That Thing You Do-The Wonders

Music makes the heart happy :) <3

The Master and The Novice

This story has been going around in emails for awhile; you have probably heard it. I really liked so I decided to share it with you. :)

When the house lights
dimmed and the concert was about to begin..a mother returned to her seat and discovered that her child was missing. Suddenly, the curtains parted and spotlights focused on the impressive Steinway on stage. To her horror, the mother saw her
little boy sitting at the keyboard, innocently picking out ' Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.'

At that moment, the great piano master made his entrance, quickly moved to the piano, and whispered in the boy's ear, 'Don't quit . . Keep playing.' Then, leaning over , Paderewski reached
down with his left hand and began filling in a bass part. Soon his right arm reached
around to the other side of the child, and he added a running obbligato.
Together, the old master and the young novice transformed what could have been a frightening situation into a wonderfully creative experience.
The audience was so mesmerized that they couldn't recall what else the great master played.
Only the classic,
' Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.'

Perhaps that's the way it is with God.

What we can accomplish on
our own is hardly noteworthy.
We try our best, but the results aren't always graceful flowing music. However, with the
hand of the Master, our life's
work can truly be beautiful.
The next time you set out to accomplish great feats,
listen carefully. You may hear the voice of
the Master, whispering in your ear, Don't quit . . . Keep playing.'

May you feel God's arms around you and know that Those hands are there, helping you turn your feeble attempts into true masterpieces.
Remember, God doesn't seem to call the equipped, rather, God equips the 'called.'
Life is more accurately measured by the lives you touch than by the things you acquire. So touch someone by passing this little message along.
May God bless you and be with you always!
And
Remember,
'Don't quit .... Keep playing.'
